Ash’s Big Dream of Cleaning

Ash Cleaning House

A Special Guest Author This Weekend

This past Saturday, I had a new “team member” join me in the office: my daughter.

Now, when kids come to work, there are usually two outcomes: they either last about 10 minutes before asking for snacks, or they quietly take over your chair and start making executive decisions. I wasn’t sure which direction this would go.

At some point during the morning, I suggested she could write a blog post for Oakville Maids. I figured it would keep her entertained for a bit and, who knows, maybe we’d get a few sentences out of it.

Well… she took that suggestion very seriously.

Instead of a quick post, she wrote a full story, about a girl named Ash who loves cleaning and dreams of working at Oakville Maids. And I have to say, the enthusiasm in this story is impressive. If we could bottle that level of excitement for cleaning, our entire industry would change overnight.

So for today, we’re doing something a little different. No edits, no rewrites, just a story written exactly as she imagined it.

Enjoy.

Ash’s Big Dream of Cleaning

There once was a girl named Ash. Ash is 13 years old. She loves to clean. Ash did not mind if her mom

said “Ash please do your chores now!” or “Ash, can you help me clean up the mess your brother made.” she actually loved doing all those things. Sometimes she just starts cleaning around the house at random times.

Ash enjoying a job well done.

Since Ash was 5 years old she wanted to be a maid, she knew she wanted to be a maid. But who she really wanted to work in was Oakville maids, although Oakville maids is not the top best cleaning service in the world, she still wanted to work in Oakville maids, Ash did not care if it was the best cleaning service in the world or not she just cared about helping others and cleaning for a good cause.

Oakville maid inspired her to be a maid and help around the house more. Ash always goes on the Oakville maid website and sees if the owner of Oakville maids (Greg) uploaded any new blogs, she sometimes even reads what is on the Oakville maids website.

When Ash turned 14 her aunt gave her some tips about cleaning because her aunt was a maid when she was younger.

Years passed and Ash is now 17 years old. She knew it was time to be interviewed by one of the Oakville maids staff. She contacted Oakville maids, and asked them for an interview.

A day later one of the staff called her and when Ash was almost done with her interview the person knew she was good enough for the next step. Ash got sooo excited when she heard that she was ready for the next step, Ash started jumping up and down, but then Ash started to calm down when she remembered that was just step 1.

The next week she went to get interviewed in person. Ash could not maintain the energy inside of her, so the whole time she was there she was taping her feet & fidgeting with her hands. When the interview was almost over the person said Ash was ready for the job.

The moment Ash heard that she got the job she said a million thank you to the person who was interviewing her & texted all of the people she knew.

When Ash got home she excitedly said to herself everything that just happened and the thing that just happened was not a dream.

Another week passed and it was the first day of training. Ash got up bright and early at 5 am although the training starts at 8:35 am. When she got to the place she was going to be trained at they started right away. Ash knew everything they had in store for her.

The person who was training Ash said that she was natural with cleaning. At the training Ash learned nothing because she already knew everything, but there was one thing that Ash learned, that thing was to make cute shapes out of toilet paper, blankets, and cloth.

The trainer knew Ash did not need much training, so Ash just did 1 whole day of training.

5 days later Ash got to clean her first house. She was absolutely excited when she stepped in the house that she was going to clean, it felt like an emotion that she could not explain.

Ash was almost done and then she heard the owner of the house saying something to her, Ash got a little nervous and then she heard what they were saying Ash realized they were not going to say anything bad they were just going to give her a nice compliment, one said “wow you are good” another said “you are so good at cleaning” and the little boy who lived at the house said “i love how you made my blanket to a shape of a heart”.

After Ash heard all of these compliments she was even prouder of herself, all though she was already feeling super proud of herself before that.

A minute later her boss (Greg) texted Ash to come to his office. Ash drove off in a flash but of course she had to say thank you & bye to the people who she was cleaning for.

The moment she got into Greg’s office there was no one there, Ash stepped in and SURPRISE! everyone shouted. There was cake, presents, drinks, and a banner that said “Reach to the stars”.

Ash was so surprised; She even saw her parents, grandparents, 2 of her best friends (Libby & Grace), Greg, and all the staff members of Oakville maids.

Ash did not know what just happened but she was very happy.

They all celebrated happily.

The End.
