Hello, Oakville! My name is Valentina, and I am the proud General Manager of Oakville Maids. Each day, I have the privilege of ensuring that every aspect of our business runs smoothly, with the goal of creating more and more happy homes here in Oakville, Ontario. This role has been a journey of growth and discovery, in which I gained the foundational experiences that would lead me here.

Joining the Family

Years ago, I began an incredible chapter when I was hired by Greg at Dallas Maids, one of the largest cleaning services in Dallas, Texas. The hiring process was thorough. However, from the start, I had a feeling that this role was for me. There was something that just felt right about it, even before I submitted my application.

When I finally met Greg and the rest of the Dallas Maids team, I realized why. I had found a place where people not only took pride in their work but also cared deeply for each other and their community. I knew I was in the right place, with the right people.

Team Work and Many Lessons

Working at Dallas Maids opened my eyes to the many aspects of managing a successful business. From maintaining excellence in customer service to leading and motivating a team, I learned what it takes to make a business thrive. The team in Dallas took ownership in every sense, working with the level of dedication as if the business were their own. This commitment was something that stood out to me immediately, and I wanted to embody that same dedication.

I discovered the importance of being proactive—not only in delivering excellent service to clients, but also in securing enough work to provide steady income for our team members. We were not only doing a job; we were creating stability for the families that relied on us. It taught me the significance of building trust and reliability and motivated me to do my best, knowing that people’s livelihoods were connected to the quality of our work and our reputation.

Another invaluable lesson from Dallas Maids was the emphasis on creating a peaceful, respectful, and collaborative work environment. Everyone, regardless of their role, was treated with the same respect and value. I saw how this atmosphere allowed each team member to feel comfortable and confident, fostering a supportive team culture that helped us achieve great things together. The focus was always on unity and lifting each other up, a quality that became one of my guiding principles as I took on more responsibilities.

Cleaning Oakville

In 2023, Greg introduced me to an exciting new project that was close to his heart. They envisioned Oakville Maids as a way to grow and expand the Dallas Maids business, as well as serve the Oakville community with the same dedication and excellence that had defined Dallas Maids.

When Greg shared this plan with me, I couldn’t help but feel thrilled. I loved the idea of helping bring Oakville Maids to life and of being entrusted with this responsibility. However, I must admit, at that time, I did not fully understand the scope of the journey ahead…

Launching Oakville Maids required hard work, determination, and sometimes, a leap of faith. We encountered challenges along the way, from building brand awareness in a new community to hiring and training a team that shared our values and commitment to excellence.  But the values we held—integrity, respect, and an unwavering focus on quality—guided us through each challenge. When you focus on doing things the right way, you find that everything falls into place in the end.

Our priority has always been to put our team and our clients first, creating a reliable service that Oakville families can trust and depend on. As I look back nearly a year after hiring our first team members, I am proud of how much we achieved together and grateful for every lesson learned.

Gratitude and Hard Work

Now, reflecting on my personal story, I realize how much working with these amazing people has changed my life. The stability and supportive environment have given me the chance to reconnect with a part of myself that I had put aside nearly a decade ago—my passion for music :’) I feel that being here has allowed me to rediscover my love for music and to incorporate it back into my life in a way I never thought possible. Working in such an uplifting environment has allowed me to move past just getting by and connect with who I really am.

Today, leading Oakville Maids is not just a job but a privilege. I am incredibly happy to be here, working alongside a dedicated team who shares the same vision of providing an outstanding service. Together, we strive to bring joy to Oakville families, one home at a time. This experience has been transformative, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to carry forward the legacy and values that began with Dallas Maids and now shape Oakville Maids.
